Our women’s health services include:

Annual Exams

Women have unique healthcare needs, so our practice is centered around addressing those particular needs. Our providers care for women in all stages of life. An annual exam allows your provider to monitor your health, perform breast cancer screenings, pap smears, and address any changes in your lifestyle or menstrual cycle. Our providers work diligently to create an environment where women feel comfortable talking about their health, contraceptive options, and more.

We provide limited primary care for our established GYN patients.

Preconception Counseling

If you and your partner are ready to start planning a family, scheduling a preconception counseling appointment with your provider can be very helpful. During this appointment, you will discuss your family history, health and lifestyle habits, and any medications you are currently taking. Together with your provider, you will discuss if there is a need for genetic testing and any recommendations for prenatal vitamins. In addition, we will review your nutritional needs and how to safely exercise during pregnancy.

Adolescent Gynecology

At GirlTalk & Gynecology, we care for women of all ages. Our Adolescent Gynecology services are centered on helping younger patients develop a positive association with gynecologic care. The focus of this visit is patient education, and addressing any questions about contraception, STD/STI prevention, and general health questions. We work to create a warm, welcoming environment for all new patients and focus on providing comfortable care.

Contraception

There is a variety of safe and effective birth control methods, and we will help you find the option that best suits your needs and lifestyle. These include oral medications, IUD, injections, NuvaRing, and more. We work to educate our patients on the available options and work with them to determine the best fit.

Infertility

Your ability to have a child can be affected by a number of factors: age, illness, weight, smoking, drug use, STIs, and more. Infertility is usually defined as the inability to conceive after 12 months of unprotected sexual intercourse. For women 35 and older, this is usually defined as the inability to conceive after 6 months of unprotected sex.

There are many advanced treatments for infertility, which you and your provider will discuss. We will work with you to determine the cause of your infertility and develop a treatment plan to meet your particular needs. This may include medications, surgical procedures, or making lifestyle changes.

Menopausal Management

Menopause is the natural end to menstruation. When it starts is different for every woman, but is typically between 40 and 60 years old. While menopause is a natural part of life, we can provide treatments to help you manage your menopause symptoms. These symptoms include, hot flashes, insomnia, fatigue, depression, night sweats, irregular vaginal bleeding, bladder control, and more. Together, we will determine which management options fit your particular needs, lifestyle, and health goals.

Weight Management

As part of our commitment to complete healthcare for women, we provide weight management services to our established GYN patients. Together, we will work with you to determine how to improve your lifestyle and mindset. Our providers and staff are committed to helping you develop healthy habits to help improve your health and wellbeing.

3D/4D Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses high frequency sound waves to capture images inside of the body and assists your provider in the diagnosis and treatment of health issues. We are pleased to offer to our patients the newest technology in ultrasound complete with 3D capabilities for improved visualization. Our ultrasound technician is certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
