Meet Megan Hughes, PA-C

Megan Hughes.

Megan has called Carteret County home since 2006 when her father was stationed at MCAS Cherry Point. Megan received her bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and always had hopes of becoming a Physician Assistant. After working in women’s healthcare following graduation, she knew that this was her true passion. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from ECU and is now ready to care for the patients of our area.

Megan feels a true connection to women and has a specific interest in prioritizing women’s health in the grand scheme of health care. She believes education and understanding are a key part of a successful patient-provider relationship and approaches each patient with insight and compassion.

When not working, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, Zack, on their boat or on the beach with family. Having been a dancer growing up, Megan lives an active lifestyle and enjoys finding new and fun ways to exercise. She and her husband also enjoy traveling but have found there is no place they love to call home more than the coast of NC.
